Elliot Whittier Hosts Free Child Car Seat Safety Inspections
On Saturday, May 16th, in conjunction with Winthrop’s Sidewalk Sale Event, free Car Seat Inspections were hosted at the Elliot Whittier Insurance Winthrop location at 12 Revere Street for interested parties.
The inspections were performed by Police Officer Steven Acone, who had undergone a 40 hour intensive instruction in order to receive the proper certification. Officer Acone was assisted by Officer Ferruccio Romeo.
“Officer Acone spent a lot of time climbing in and out each vehicle, manually adjusting straps and seats that needed corrections, and answering any questions the concerned parents may have had for him. I was impressed by the amount of care was put into each inspection. This was a well-attended event and with the Winthrop Police Department’s continued cooperation we look forward to hosting it again for the community. ” said Elliot Whittier’s Paul Roy.
