Text Box: Thanks from Iraq

Text Box: Mr. Honan,

Thank you so much for that package. I took the flashlight, batteries, socks, and soap. Most of us infantry folk don't have it as good as the POGs do so those items were very important. I'm impressed with the diversity of items in that package. You knew just what we needed. I loved the letters I got. I especially liked the letter the young lady wrote to me. She said everyday after the pledge of allegiance, her teacher tells them about the young men who are fighting for America in Iraq and Afghanistan. I forgot what we were fighting for. Everyday I get up so I can do a few patrols. I do patrols because I'm told to. That letter reminded me why we do patrols, why we fight, and why we do what we do. I think her name was Melissa if I remember correctly. Tell her that her letter meant a lot. Speaking of letters, I read yours as well. So thanks for everything. Thank you for serving the country as a soldier and thank you for continuing to serve our country.
